How many times do we feel stuck?
I know I feel that way often… especially in this never-ending alternate reality we seem to be living in since February 2020.
Are there things we cannot change and control? YES!
Do they outnumber or outweigh the things we CAN control? 🤔 I say, NO!!
It’s easy to forget how truly powerful the individual is while being bombarded with so much “noise” from the media, social or otherwise.
Where does Personal Power exist?
The above 3 Personal Power “Keys” are only effective if they are Empowering you to open the Cage. Otherwise, they ARE your Cage.
Your thoughts?
Thank You, Pinterest!
Working up the nerve and the faith to write about my life raw and unvarnished. Just facing the journaling process is intimidating.
Anyone out there with experience sharing their hard-won experience honestly and without color?
Please share your thoughts.
I’ll be posting as I make progress on my journey.
Found on Pinterest while browsing for inspiration.
The George Washington Carver List really touched me. Also included are quotes by other Great Minds, Leaders, and Speakers: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Maya Angelou, and Thomas Sowell.
I think we often forget the wisdom of our past by belittling history’s accomplishments because we don’t agree with the social or societal “norms” of the time.
It’s important to look at all our Forefathers: Political, and Social leaders through the lens of what life was at like in their time.
Just because society wasn’t perfect, or an individual historical figure wasn’t perfect, does NOT DISMISS their overwhelming accomplishments.
Someday, people are going to look back on THIS time and judge.
How do you want to be judged?
By all the things you did and tried to do?
By your very human failings and mistakes?
We ALL have them.
God said, “Let he without sin cast the first stone.”
I am imperfect. I’ve made mistakes, hurt people, made bad choices.
I HOPE when I am gone, those are not the focus of my legacy.
I hope when I’m gone, I am remembered for the good I tried to add to the world. The love and time I gave to family and friends and strangers; for accepting people as they are, not how I wish they were.
What do you you want your legacy to include?
Integrity. Such an important word.
I have been feeling as though our society has lost all perspective on Integrity: it’s meaning and importance to our daily living.
As our culture has lost faith in the foundations on which America has always stood, we have lost belief in our leaders’ integrity; and therefore lost our belief in its very existence.
Integrity is a personal value that is extremely important in how we live. Integrity influences our choices, decisions, and actions.
Take some time today to contemplate your views on Integrity: is it a value to you? Do you believe it is important? Is it important to teach your children? To model for others? To be a leader?
This is such a hopeful, happy quote to start off a new week and Daylight Savings Time (extra coffee??)
Lately, I’ve found myself interested in drawing, painting, and watching BIRDS.
Inspired by artist creating art using birds.
Continue reading “What Inspires YOU?”This song has been so uplifting.
If you haven’t already, watch “God’s Not Dead.” It’s a powerful movie, an amalgam of court cases between schools and faith organizations.
It speaks loudly of faith being a choice we all have in a free society, just as we have the choice to not have a faith. It speaks to the battle ground of today’s society’s fear of supporting people of faith.
The Newsboys music is featured and the movie ends at Newsboys concert.
You’ll recognize many famous faces in this movie.
I hope you find it as powerful, moving, and uplifting as I did.

So much of the past year (March 2020-March 2021), and even periods of my life before, have felt like illustration #1: I’m running in circles loosing my mind and sense of perspective.
Reality IS illustration #2: I may be running in circles, but I am NOT in the same place.
Each lap teaches me something new.
Each lap forces me to TRY a new approach.
Each lap I get a little bit stronger: mentally, physically, or spiritually.
If you feel like you’ve been running in circles this is for you:
Yes! you may,in-fact, BE running in circles. Running in circles doesn’t always mean your staying in the same place.
